Mission Statement 

Our objective is to build and maintain a positive working relationship with sponsors by adhering to the core values of our nations military, build a baseline for success in the sport of tournament fishing, and create a successful conduit between sponsors and would-be consumers. 

How We Got Started

Created in October 2007, Black Spot Fishing Team was created by three friends who share a similar passion for the outdoors, more specifically inshore saltwater fishing.  All natives of New Orleans, Louisiana, Chris, Brandon and Matt, grew up exploring and fishing the vast Mississippi delta. Each spend 100+ days on the water a year, fine-tuning techniques, catering to clients or just enjoying the beauty of the marsh.  After all receiving collegiate degrees and parting their seperate ways, they have reunited as Black Spot Fishing Team. They hope to build and maintain successful careers in the world of tournament angling and promote the needs of various charitable military organizations.

Meet The Team

Christopher Bush

Chris is a native of Metairie, LA, and a graduate of Louisiana State University. He was commisioned a 2nd Lieutenant in May of 2005, and after serving a year overseas and other stateside assignments, he is currently stationed at Keesler AFB, MS.  Chris now lives in Biloxi, MS with wife Jessica, son Ramsey and dog Cajun. He is an avid outdoor enthusiest who enjoys writing about and photographing the salt marsh environment.

Brandon Treadaway

Brandon is a native of Kenner, LA, and is a graduate of the University of New Orleans. He then went on to receive his degree in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lakes. He is currently a registered nurse at Bayou Home Care.  Like his teammates, he is an avid outdoorsman who can generally be found fine-tuning techniques and exploring what the delta has to offer.

Matt Veale

Matt was born in Metairie, Louisiana.  In May 2004, he became a 2nd Lieutenant  in the United States Air Force, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors degree in Marketing.  Currently, he is a Captain, and is stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.  He lives in Ohio with his wife Amanda and daughter Peyton.  Matt has always enjoyed the outdoors.

Kevin Bergeron

Kevin is a resident of Kenner, LA and owner of AAA Silkscreening and Sporting Goods and Southern Salt Custom Rods. In his very first tournament he finished 1st, and has cracked the top 20 in as many months. He is one of the sports up and coming anglers.
