Press Release, Post, Short Stories
As of a week ago Black Spot welcomes Mercury Outboards and Motorguide Trolling motors. As an avid user of Mercury Outboards, we have been impressed with their overall reliability and dependability that is so vital to the tournament scene. By upgrading to a Mercury 175 Pro-XS will will not have to sacrifice any fuel economy and gain almost 10 miles per hour more than we did with the 150 EFI model. We will increase our fuel economy almost 2 miles per gallon and go faster. That fact in itself made it a clear choice to go with Mercury, and we hope you do the same. Mercury...#1 on the water! Tight Lines

Brandon and I just took 3rd in the LA Saltwater Series event out of Lafitte, LA on March 6th. We made an hour run south and found some schooling fish in two specific ponds during practice, only to find them gone, so with some quick thinkin and confidence in the area. We were able to make adjustments and stuck to our gameplan of fishing shallow. We fished in 8 - 12 inches of water all day and caught our biggest fish in each of our spots. All in all we probably caught about 20 fish, sightfishing using 1/8oz Marsh Works jig heads with Grandma's Make-up Killa Squilla's. We ended the day with 15.25lbs and a great way to start the year! God Bless and tight lines!

We've recently been published in the latest issue of Marsh and bayou magazine. Its available at all academy locations in and around the Louisiana area. Pick one up and let us know what you think.
Tight Lines!

I personally want to thank Vicious Fishing for donating 80 Sample spools of line to the Shaw Air Force Base kids fishing tournament. They had 65 participants ranging from 4yrs of age to 16, and is considered a huge success every year because it invites children to pick up the sport of fishing, but more importantly spend time with FAMILY! Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister or grandparents, many of which are service men and women, miss a lot of time with family in defense of our nation. What a great way to give back. I'm proud to have Vicious fishing as a sponsor! Thank you Chris Dutton for letting me be a part. Sincerely Chris Bush

Shaw Kids Fishing Tournament
I must start by saying its been awhile since my last post, but not because I haven't been doing any fishing, but because I've been doing too much fishing.
I just recently returned from Louisiana, after participating in the IFA Lafitte tournament, which could have been better for us, but won't complain. We wound up picking up some crucial points for team of the year, and that much closer to participating in the championship at the end of the year.
However, as I was driving home, my teammate was participating in the southeast's largest redfishing tournament, the CCA Redfish Shootout, exceeding more than a 100 boats, and wound up finishing second, collecting a check and getting some always wanted exposure. Congrats Brandon! Read More...
